Dear Brian,
You are not alone. Many Americans today suffer this predicament most of the time. With modern life overly mechanized and capitalist vultures stealing the life and dreams of anyone with even a spark of creativity, our hope for meaningful work can fizzle. Hang in there, though. And read some fine literature. I recommend the novel Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse. It is a great escape from the everyday.
