Intelligent Life in the Universe

Dear Heather,
We always wish we could find intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. Why don't we just start by looking for dumb-as-a-post life? Wouldn't that be a better starting point?
Sincerely,
Benjamin from Red Oak

Dear Benjamin,
I completely understand where you're coming from. I do think that perhaps lowering one's expectations can make things better. For example, if you're having trouble finding meaning in life, focus on something simple, like clean socks. Say to yourself, at least I've got clean socks. That usually works.
Sincerely,
Heather
