If a friend is going to break the "no dating the friend's ex-fiance rule," shouldn't she also refrain from calling you to tell you how handsome she thinks he is, and all the things he said about why your relationship didn't work out? Or how much they're attracted to each other?

Dear Italian Goddess,
I think that, indeed, the "friend" ought to refrain from stating these things. Women are crazy when it comes to men. They will stab each other in the back over a guy in a heartbeat. This is for smaller, less enlightened beings though. Since you are a goddess, none of this can touch you. Stay true to yourself and you will remain above the fray.
