Nietzsche in the Fall

Dear Heather,
I want to read Nietzsche but don't know where to start -
can you give me a recommendation?
Thanks,
Iris, Dallas Musician

Dear Iris,
I would recommend the book Human, All Too Human, which expresses many of his major ideas in a collection of aphorisms. As a musician, I think the writing style would appeal to you. Subtitled, A Book for Free Spirits, this book touches on the concepts for which Nietzsche is famous, including will to power and God is Dead. Though I wouldn't normally recommend German existential philosophy at such a lovely time of year, sometimes we need a little something hearty in our brains as the leaves change. I hope this selection satisfies you in your intellectual journey.
Sincerely,
Heather
