Thank you for your advice about hiking locations. My life partner and I are planning a trip this fall to enjoy nature. We think we will avoid the Middle East. But what about Canada? We have heard there is much nature there.

Yes. Unlike the US, Canada does not feel the need to exploit all the world's natural resources as quickly and voraciously as humanly possible. Plus, if you are hurt while on vacation, you might be able to afford a doctor. That's a nice feature of life on earth that is more available up north.
